A transmission hologram is one of the most basic types of holograms, and also one of the most fascinating to witness firsthand! These types of holograms can achieve incredible amounts of both virtual and real 3D imagery within it's modest frame. Transmission holograms have been referred to as "magic windows" for their ability to mimic the confounding effect of looking out an actual window, but can also display objects with extreme projection! These holograms require laser light for viewing, and must be illuminated from behind the actual hologram.

Forth Dimension is proud to have introduced to market a portable unit for the display and viewing of transmission holograms. The THPD (transmission holography portable display), along with the associated THLS (transmission hologram light source), allow for the proper viewing of any transmission hologram in a variety of public display configurations and in a variety of standard laser colors (red, green, blue).

Our stock transmission display holograms are designed to be easily and quickly switched out in the THPD. However, these holograms can also be incorporated into future exhibit space using only the THLS. We can assist in the design requirements needed, and can be either a conventional wall or pedestal device. Custom transmission holograms can be commissioned for future exhibit projects for a one-of-a-kind, out-of-this-world effect.
